MARKET BEEF PROJECT WEIGH-IN
SATURDAY, JANUARY 13, 2007
All 4-Her's enrolled in the market beef project who wish to sell their steer at the fair must have their project steer weighed on Saturday, January 13. Weigh-in will be conducted by the Market Livestock Committee from 9:00 - Noon at the FFA stockyards west of Ronan on Round Butte Road.
Be sure to have your steer halter broke!
4-H CLUB OFFICER TRAINING
Our 4-H Ambassadors will be hosting this year's club officer training on Tuesday, January 9, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Community Center in Ronan. Training will include parliamentary procedure and group meeting etiquette. Each 4-H club may send as many members as they would like, along with all officers. The cost is $2.00 per club and pizza will be served. Please call the Extension Office to register.
LICENSE PLATE REMINDER
If you are contemplating a license plate change, renewal or upgrade, consider the 4-H license plates for your vehicle. They're an attractive plate and a portion of the proceeds are passed on to the 4-H Council.
INTERVIEW JUDGES FOR THE '07 LAKE COUNTY FAIR
Our fair manager has begun planning for the fair and is securing judges. If you have any suggestions for judges, please turn them in to the Extension Office and they will be given to Tim Marchant, Fair Manager.
4-HERS HAVE TALENT!
The first annual 4-H talent show will be held Sunday, February 11 at 4:00 p.m. at the Ronan Community Center. Entry fee is $6.00. T-shirts will be given to all participants and there will be prizes for the top junior and senior 4-Hers.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the 4-H scholarship fund.
4-H horticulture project members and cloverbuds will be helping with the decorations and members of the 4-H foods project will serve dessert.
Admission is $5.00 (includes dessert).
